Background

Kris A. Vanderman began practicing law in Perryopolis, Fayette County, Pennsylvania in 1977 after clerking for the Law Firm of Murphy and France since 1975 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. (Austin J. Murphy was then a State Senator, later elected to the US Congress.) He became a partner in Murphy, France and Vanderman in 1978 and in 1981 started Vanderman Law Offices with offices in Charleroi and Perryopolis, adding a McMurray Office in 1983. In 1986 he organized Accelerated Settlements, Inc., a full service, independent real estate title insurance company. He has been a licensed real estate title agent since 1985.

 

Mr. Vanderman graduated from Alderson Broaddus College in West Virginia in 1974; the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1977; the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (conducted at the University of North Carolina School of Law Chapel Hill) in 1985.

 

He was admitted to the Washington County Court of Common Pleas ( Pennsylvania) in 1977, the Pennsylvania Superior Court (1977); the United States Federal Court-Western District (1977), the United States Federal Court-Western District Bankruptcy Division (1978), the Third Circuit Court of Appeals (1979) and the United States Supreme Court (1986). (In accordance with the rules of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, all attorneys admitted before it are eligible to practice in any of the 67 counties within the Commonwealth.)
